Frequently asked questions
A dash cam records what happens in front of (and often behind) your car, giving you clear evidence in the event of an accident, a "crash for cash" attempt, or a hit-and-run while parked. Many UK insurers now offer discounts for dash cam owners, and footage can speed up claims significantly.
We fit premium dash cams including Road Angel, BlackVue, Nextbase, Garmin, and many more — chosen based on your budget, the car, and the features you want (front-only, front and rear, parking mode, 4K resolution, cloud connectivity). We'll recommend the best option for your needs.
We hard-wire all our dash cam installs into the fuse box. This keeps your 12V socket free, hides all the cables completely, and allows the camera to enable parking mode — recording while the car is parked and unattended.
No. All cables are tucked neatly behind the headlining, A-pillar, and trim panels, so the only visible part is the camera itself behind your rear-view mirror. The install looks completely factory.
A properly installed dash cam uses a battery protection module (hardwire kit) that monitors voltage and shuts the camera off before it can drain the battery to a level that would prevent starting. We fit these as standard on parking-mode installs, so your battery stays safe.
Yes — most of our installs are dual-channel (front and rear), with the rear camera mounted discreetly on the rear windscreen. The two cameras link together so you get synchronised footage from both angles.
No. We tap into accessory fuses using proper add-a-fuse connectors — no cutting or splicing of factory wiring — so the install is fully reversible and won't trigger any warranty concerns.
A front-only hard-wired install typically takes 1–1.5 hours. A front and rear dual-channel install with parking mode usually takes 2–3 hours.
Yes. Most modern dash cams connect to a smartphone app over Wi-Fi, so you can view, download, and share footage directly from your phone without removing the SD card. Cloud-connected models (like BlackVue) can also send alerts and footage in real time.
Install pricing typically starts from around £100 for a front-only hard-wire and £180+ for front and rear with parking mode — plus the cost of the camera itself. We can supply and fit, or fit a camera you've already bought. Get in touch for an exact quote.
